Source of wealth

CMI is obliged under Isle of Man regulations to understand how the monies to be invested has been acquired and from what source.

The application form contains a financial questionnaire which asks for this information. Please complete all relevant sections in full and provide enough detail so that we can identify how the full amount to be invested was obtained.

We are unable to accept generic descriptions such as savings, investments, inheritance or business dealings and will ask for more information, which may delay your application. That’s why it’s important you give us as much detail as possible when completing your application, to help us fully understand where the money has come from and how it was accumulated.

We reserve the right to request more information or evidence in all cases.

Source of funds verification

The money you wish to invest must come from an expected source, for example your bank account or your adviser or solicitor’s client account. CMI is not able to accept payments from third parties.
