Group Limited's With-Profits Fund, and the operation of this fund has a direct impact
on your investment. Under a reinsurance agreement we pass a part of each investment
to Clerical Medical Investment Group Limited to be invested in its With-Profits
Fund. When an investor takes money out of the Offshore With-Profits Fund, Clerical
Medical Investment Group Limited passes back the amount payable out of its With-Profits
Fund. In this way policies invested in the Offshore With Profits Fund share in the
profits earned in the Clerical Medical Investment Group Limited With Profits Fund.
